Preview curriculum (learning experiences), class roster setup, assign a learning experience, teaching tips, and more

Written by Bradley

Follow these step-by-step videos and resources to set up your Exploros account, learn the basics, and get ready to use Exploros. Teachers and administrators should complete the steps in order.

Step 1. Watch the Exploros Introduction

Start with this 2-minute Introduction to Exploros. It provides a high-level overview of how Exploros works and what you can expect as you begin using the platform. If you don't use YouTube, an alternate video link is also available.

Note: Exploros powers multiple instructional programs. This video provides a high-level introduction to the Exploros platform. If your district uses a specific Exploros program, visit the live chat for additional program-specific resources.

Step 2. Set Up Your Account

View the videos that match your role or the users you're helping get started.

Teachers

Administrators

  • Sign Up as a Teacher (Teachers and administrators follow the same sign-up process. Administrator permissions are automatically assigned after your account is created, if applicable.)

Students

  • Students are automatically set up through your district's rostering integration. No additional account setup is required—they simply sign in using their existing Single Sign-On (SSO), such as Google, ClassLink, Clever, Canvas, or Schoology.

Step 3. Set Up Your Classes & Licenses

Most Exploros users set up their classes by importing them from their district's rostering system, such as Google Classroom, Canvas, ClassLink, Clever, or Schoology. After importing your classes, simply use the Sync button on the Roster screen throughout the school year to keep your rosters up to date.

Administrators

Determine your district's rostering method and communicate it to teachers before they begin setting up classes. Review the available rostering options to decide which method your district will use.

Teachers

Most teachers will import their classes once, then use Sync whenever roster changes occur. If you're unsure which rostering method your district uses, check with your administrator before creating classes.

If your district uses Google Classroom, Canvas, ClassLink, Clever, Schoology, or another supported rostering integration.

Important: Assign a License

As you import each class you will be prompted to assign a license to each class. Teachers cannot assign learning experiences until a license has been assigned to each class. Please do not skip this step.

If your district is not using a rostering integration—or if you need a practice or temporary class—you can create a class manually. After creating the class, see Adding Students to a Class to learn how to manage your roster.

Step 4. Teach with Exploros

Before teaching your first learning experience, become familiar with the five basic steps of teaching with Exploros.

Step 5. Continue Learning and Get Support

Now that you've completed the basics, continue exploring Exploros through our training and support resources.
