Exploros Academy is your guided learning hub for getting the most out of Exploros. Follow step-by-step lessons, complete hands-on activities, and track your progress as you build the skills to get the most out of your teaching with Exploros.
Access Academy
To access Academy, select the Academy tab from the top navigation bar in Exploros.
If you have access to multiple Academy plans, use the menu next to the Plan title to switch between them. At the top of the page, you can also view your current Exploros usage for the selected plan.
Each plan is designed to help you develop a specific set of skills or achieve a particular learning goal. Depending on the selected plan, you'll see its own learning paths, skills, progress, and completion tracking.
Understanding the Learning Structure
Each Academy plan is organized into tiers, skill paths, and skills, making it easy to follow a structured learning journey.
Tiers represent major milestones in your learning. Complete the required skills within a tier to progress to the next stage of the plan.
Skill Paths group related skills around a specific topic or area of expertise. The same skill path types are used across all Academy plans, although the skills within each path vary by plan.
The three learning path types are:
Plan & Prepare – Learn how to prepare for instruction and organize your classroom for success.
Teach & Facilitate – Develop strategies for delivering instruction, engaging students, and facilitating learning with Exploros.
Assess & Adjust – Learn how to monitor student progress, interpret results, and use data to inform your instruction.
Skills are the individual learning activities within each learning path. Most skills include a Learn section and, depending on the skill, may also include an Apply section.
As you complete skills, your progress is tracked within each learning path and contributes to your overall progress through the tier and the plan.
Recommended Next Lessons
The Recommended Next Lessons section is the easiest way to continue your learning. It highlights the next lesson based on your progress and guides you through the recommended sequence for your plan.
If you want to explore other topics, you can also browse the available learning paths and choose any lesson to begin.
Complete a Skill
You can start a skill directly from the Recommended Next Lessons section or by selecting a skill from one of the learning paths.
Each skill is designed to help you build knowledge and, when applicable, apply what you've learned in Exploros. Skills open in a new browser tab, making it easy to move between your training and Exploros as you complete learning activities and hands-on tasks.
Learn
The Learn section includes a training video and supporting reading materials that give you the knowledge and context you need to master the skill before applying it in Exploros. You must watch the entire training video before the Apply section becomes available. We also recommend reviewing the supporting reading materials before moving on to the application activities.
Apply
Some skills include an Apply section, which gives you the opportunity to put what you've learned into practice by completing a task in Exploros.
There are two types of application activities:
Recommended Activities – These activities are recommended to help reinforce what you've learned. While Academy doesn't require you to complete them to finish the skill, we encourage you to complete them to get the most value from your learning.
Required Activities – These activities must be completed in Exploros before the skill can be marked as complete. Academy automatically verifies that you've completed the required task.
When you've finished the activity, click Mark as Applied to complete the skill.
Each skill displays its current status so you can quickly see what to complete next.
As you complete skills, your dashboard updates automatically, allowing you to track your progress throughout the entire plan.
Once you've completed all required skills in a tier, you'll unlock the next tier and continue your learning journey.
