Exploros automatically syncs classes imported from Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, ClassLink, and Clever to help keep class rosters aligned with their source platform.
While synchronization helps maintain accurate rosters, teachers also have the flexibility to customize certain class settings within Exploros.
Customize a Class Name
You can update the display name of an imported class without affecting its connection to the original class in Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, ClassLink, or Clever.
To change a class name:
Open Class Settings.
Edit the Class Name field.
Click Save.
Your custom class name will be preserved during future syncs, while the original class name from the connected platform remains stored for reference.
Control Automatic Roster Sync
If your district enables this feature, you can choose whether a class automatically syncs its roster each time you log in.
Note: Currently, Sync on Login is available for ClassLink, Schoology and Clever integrations. Support for Google Classroom and Canvas is coming soon.
To manage automatic syncing:
Open Class Settings.
Open the Connected Platform tab.
Select or clear the Sync roster on login checkbox.
Click Save.
When Sync Roster on Login Is Enabled
Each time you log in, Exploros will automatically update the class roster to match the roster in the connected platform.
When Sync Roster on Login Is Disabled
Automatic roster updates will not occur when you log in. This gives you greater flexibility to manage and edit the class roster directly in Exploros without changes being overwritten by synchronization.
Note: Availability of automatic roster sync settings may vary based on your district's configuration.
