Please read the Exploros Pre/Post Assessment (TIA) Administrator Guide
This guide contains the following key information:
District Licensing Information and Agreement. Exploros needs a signed agreement on file and your campus-level seat allocation for the testing program.
Test Preparation: Rostering, Licensing, Device Prep. This section explains rostering methods, seat licensing, and device preparation. It is essential to check rosters and class licenses, and then monitor overall Pre-Testing progress during the testing window. This video explains the TIA Progress Report, which is designed to help administrators oversee the process at a high level.
Classroom Assigning, Starting, and Monitoring Tests. Teachers with an Exploros account and test proctoring permissions can assign and start a test for their classes. Administrators have reports to oversee the seat licensing and test-taking process. We also recommend certain classroom practices for testing security, validity, and success.
Reporting, Growth Targets, and Teaching Recommendations. Once testing is complete, Exploros provides reporting for administrators and teachers. Exploros will also calculate growth targets based on the district growth model, and provide recommendations for learning experiences that address growth target TEKS.
Frequently Asked Questions: What happens if students are absent for testing day? Can students skip questions and return to them? What if proctors needs support? These and other questions are referenced in the FAQs.
Pre and Post-Testing (TIA) for Teachers Guide
This is the companion Pre-Post Test (TIA) Guide for Teachers, which explains the specifics of test prep, administration, test monitoring, and results analysis from a teacher perspective.
Admin Reports
For administrators, there are two key report types:
1. TIA District Progress Report. This report is for test preparation and monitoring, helping TIA Administrators ensure that student seats are rostered and licensed in preparation for testing, and that testing is progressing according to plan. This report is available for district and campus admins. This article and video explain the TIA Progress Report.
2. Course-Level Results Reports (e.g. District American History TIA). For each course test, there is a report that shows the results, providing the scores per teacher class with a drill-down per student, and a TEKS heatmap at the class and student level based on the test blueprint. This article explains the Course Pre-Post TIA Results Report.
Important Note: Most districts using Exploros Pre- and Post-Tests do so as part of participation in the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. Reliable student growth data requires accurate and consistent implementation. Teachers must understand each step of the process and follow testing procedures closely. As an administrator, you play a key role in supporting and guiding them.
Most of the time, there are no do-overs (depending on district policy), so it’s important to get it right the first time. Be sure to read the guide and watch the videos in this article, and encourage teachers to read the teacher guide and watch all of the videos in the Using Pre- and Post-Tests in Exploros for Teachers article to be fully prepared.
