Includes test details such as number of questions, estimated time, question types, TEKS coverage, pre/post test alignment, and test blueprints.

Chapter 2: Before the Test

  • Check your settings to ensure your class has the Pre and Post Test (TIA) license.

  • Verify that your Exploros roster matches your class roster—no extra or missing students.

  • Make a plan for absent students and accommodations.

Chapter 3: Assign, Start, Monitor, and End the Test

Learn how to assign, start, monitor, and end both Pre and Post Tests—along with key best practices and helpful tips for each step.

Chapter 4: After the Test

Learn how to review reports and where to find teaching recommendations based on the testing data.

Appendix

Resources and supporting documents to assist with Pre and Post-Test implementation.

Important Note: Many teachers using the Exploros Pre- and Post-Test are doing so as part of their district’s participation in the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. A key part of the TIA process is having solid student growth data. That means it’s important to understand how to administer these tests correctly.

Most of the time, there are no do-overs (depending on district policy), so it’s important to get it right the first time. Please take time to review each chapter. A smooth testing experience starts with knowing what to expect and how to support your students throughout the process.

We will be adding some tutorial videos to this page with updates for 25-26.
