HB 4545 Requirements

Exploros for Acceleration

Delivers targeted TEKS-aligned instruction for the applicable grade level and subject area(s).

Individual Education Planning Tools

Exploros offers the TEKS Curriculum Mappers which allow administrators and teachers to enter all underperforming TEKS SEs and breakouts, and see a list of Exploros Learning Experiences that address these TEKS.

TEKS Analytics for Ensuring Student TEKS Engagement and Achievement

The Student Learning Report shows student TEKS performance and measures time spent on TEKS, student responses posted, and assessment scores per SE. Learn more about the Student Learning Report.

Is provided for no less than 30 hours total.

Exploros courses contain learning experiences that take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. The complete list of learning experiences per course is listed in the Exploros TX Course Catalog (see pages 8-18) and well exceeds 30 hours, even when targeted by TEKS.

Once an Educational Plan is produced, the amount of learning time can be estimated by multiplying the learning experiences of choice by 60 minutes to produce a plan that can include teacher follow-up after each learning experience is completed.

Exploros TEKS Analytics tracks minutes spent per learning standard (SE) for detailed reporting options.

Is designed to assist the student in achieving satisfactory performance in the applicable grade level and subject area(s) and utilizes effective instructional materials designed for supplemental instruction.

The Exploros Social Studies program has demonstrated remarkable STAAR gains across all student demographics.

The Exploros program is built on the 5E instructional model promoting student engagement and comprehension. Please see our 2019 STAAR Social Studies Case Study. Students increased in Approaches and saw the most significant increases in Masters.

Exploros Unit Reviews are made up of past year STAAR questions, and each learning experience finishes with a quiz made up of STAAR-like assessments.

Language Supports. All Exploros programs can be translated into many languages using the Google Translate extension. Browser-based text-to-speech can be used for text read-alouds to assist ELL students.

Is delivered in a 1-on-1 or small group environment, with no more than 3 students in a small group (or in a larger ratio with permission from all parents or guardians connected to students in the group).

Exploros learning experiences can be assigned to a single student, but are more engaging when done in small groups because the peer-to-peer interaction within the lessons increases context and strengthens learning. Teachers can follow up with students individually, or again in small groups.

Is provided by an individual with training in aligned instructional materials and under the LEA’s oversight.

Exploros offers training for teachers. At the same time, the platform streamlines effective instruction and implementation is relatively simple.

Administrators and coaches can put together Educational Plans using the TEKS Mappers. Once the plan is defined, Social Studies teachers can implement the plan by assigning the appropriate learning experiences and guiding them with the built-in Exploros supports.

Exploros has built-in supports for teachers with instructional suggestions which simplifies effective instruction.

Exploros TEKS Analytics assist teachers, coaches, and administrators in their oversight capacities.

To the extent possible is provided by one person for the entirety of the student’s supplemental instruction period.

By dividing students into cohorts, one teacher can oversee specific students with continuity within Exploros. Students automatically build digital portfolios and related reporting and analytics.

Once a student passes a STAAR EOC assessment, they no longer show significant areas of academic weakness and no longer need accelerated instruction.

End of Unit Reviews can assist with identifying students who are no longer showing weakness. For example, if the student's main area of weakness is the Constitution the associated End of Unit Review would assess relevant TEKS using past year STAAR items.
