Exploros is designed to create a dynamic, social learning environment where students engage collaboratively in real-time. This approach harnesses the power of digital tools to make learning interactive, accessible, and engaging. While we understand the importance of print materials in certain situations, Exploros intentionally minimizes the reliance on printed resources to promote equity and maintain the integrity of its interactive educational model.

What We Offer for Print Needs

While Exploros is primarily digital, we do provide some printable resources to support various classroom needs:

Article Summaries with CFU Questions (located in the Class Pack)
Over 1,000 printable article summaries are available, each with Check for Understanding (CFU) questions. These can be used to:

  • Provide review materials for students who need additional support

  • Support students without reliable technology access outside of class

Article Summaries (located within each Experience and Experience Pack)
Teachers can print article summaries directly from an experience. These can be used for:

  • Annotation during reading

  • Offline review or preparation for class discussions

Print-Ready Resource Packs
The print-ready pack includes printable teacher and student materials for offline use, such as:

  • Graphic organizers

  • Note-taking templates

  • Lesson planning templates

Experience Summaries (Printable Lesson Plans) (located in the Experience Pack)
The Experience Summary provides a concise overview of a learning experience. It is designed to support lesson planning and internalization by outlining:

  • Objectives

  • Student activities

  • Teacher moves for each scene

Why We Focus on Digital Learning

  1. Equity in Access – A digital platform ensures that all students, regardless of physical location, have access to the same high-quality materials and tools. It also provides a pathway for all students to share their voices - with Exploros there are no bystanders.

    Digital resources allow:

    • Instant updates to ensure content remains current.

    • Integration with assistive technologies like text-to-speech, translation tools, and large-print options.

    • Easy access from a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

    • Student-friendly, social media style elements that ensure all students have a voice in the learning experience

  2. Social Learning Environment – Exploros activities are designed to foster collaboration and discussion among students. This social interaction is core to the Exploros experience and cannot be replicated through print materials. For example:

    • Students participate in live discussions, polls, and shared activities.

    • Teachers can monitor student progress in real-time and adjust instruction as needed.

  3. Encouraging Creativity – Rather than relying on static printed materials, teachers can use Exploros as a stage for students to demonstrate creativity. For example:

    • Students can draw graphic organizers or take notes in an interactive notebook.

    • Teachers can guide students to engage in collaborative activities like Talk-Read-Talk-Write, Think-Pair-Share, or other kinesthetic and interactive learning methods.

Ensuring Accessibility

Exploros aligns with accessibility standards to ensure all students can participate:

  • The platform is compatible with smartphones, enabling access for students who may not have laptops.

  • Browser-enabled features such as text-to-speech, large print, and translation ensure that materials are accessible.

  • Teachers can assign non-technology-dependent tasks, such as having students read summaries at home, ensuring no student is excluded.

By focusing on equitable digital learning, Exploros empowers educators to deliver engaging, inclusive, and interactive learning experiences. For students who require alternative formats, we provide thoughtful solutions that maintain the spirit of collaboration and creativity.
