ClassLink and Clever may share multiple separate rosters with Exploros for students who are taught together during one class period. Because these rosters cannot always be merged through ClassLink or Clever, teachers may see several classes in Exploros instead of one complete class roster.
To combine these students, create a new class manually in Exploros and add the appropriate students from each roster.
This is important because Exploros is designed around a live, social classroom instruction model. As students contribute, their profile images and responses become part of the shared learning experience. To teach and monitor the experience as intended, all students learning together during the same class period need to be included in the same Exploros class roster.
Follow the video or the steps below to create and manage your combined classes.
Create a Combined Class
Log in to Exploros through ClassLink or Clever using your district’s normal login process.
Open the side menu in Exploros and click the plus (+) button to create a new class.
In the Create New Class window, enter a clear name for the combined class.
Follow the prompts to select the appropriate grade and subject, and then assign the correct license. A license must be assigned for you to view and assign lessons from your program. Save the class when finished.
Open the new class and go to the Roster section.
Select All Your Other Students, locate the students who belong in this class, and add them to the new combined roster.
Review the completed roster to make sure all students have been added correctly.
Repeat this process until all needed combined classes and rosters have been created.
Add DO NOT USE to the name of each original class you will no longer use, and save the updated class name. For example: DO NOT USE – Period 2 Social Studies.
Important Information About Future Roster Changes
Classes created manually in Exploros will not automatically receive roster changes from ClassLink or Clever.
If students need to be added, removed, or moved in the future, continue logging in through ClassLink or Clever and update the combined roster manually in Exploros.
New students imported through ClassLink or Clever may appear under All Your Other Students, but they must be manually added to the appropriate combined class.
Do Not Archive Synced Classes
Do not archive classes that were originally synced through ClassLink or Clever. The integration may recreate the class or override the change during a future sync.
Adding DO NOT USE to the class name makes it easier to identify classes teachers should no longer use without disrupting the integration.
Final Check
All combined classes have been created and clearly named.
All students have been added to the correct combined classes.
Each combined roster has been reviewed for accuracy.
Original classes that are no longer needed include DO NOT USE in the class name.
No ClassLink- or Clever-synced classes were archived.
Teachers understand that combined rosters must be updated manually.
Teachers will continue accessing Exploros through ClassLink or Clever.
