For each course your district has a subscription for (e.g. U.S History MS, Grade World Cultures, etc) you will have a Student Learning Report. It will be titled according to the course name (.e.g. District U.S. History Learning Report).
This is a learning-standards based report where the standards are broken out by curriculum unit. Whereas commonly you may have similar reporting with benchmarks or end-of-year testing, this report gives you a live look at classroom, campus, and district-level progress, and can provide recommendations for how to address particular learning standards.
To navigate to this report, choose a course from the left-hand menu, and then click the Reports icon.
Then click on the report icon, which will look like this with the correct course title.
For the purposes of this article, we will use the District U.S. History Student Learning (Texas TEKS) Report as a visual sample, but the functionality is similar for all courses for each particular state-standard structure.
Unit level report showing learning standards and metrics for student progress
The report shows critical state standards for each unit of instruction and metrics for how your district is doing on those standards. The metrics include
Students - the number of students who have spent time on the standard
Responses - the aggregate number of responses that your students have posted that are mapped to the standard. This is a general metric for student engagement, where generally the more responses, the more effort has been exerted with respect to the standard.
RPS - responses per student. In the example below, one standard averages 1 response per student, whereas the next standard reported averages 12.1 responses per student, thus a reflection of more engagement
MPS - minutes per student of live classroom instructional time.
Quiz Avg. - for all quiz items or unit review items mapped to the given standard, the overall average

Filters
By default, the report shows the learning standards for the first unit in the course and is not filtered by users.
User Filters
Schools - the list of campuses that have subscriptions
Teachers - the list of active teachers using the course
Classes (if you select a teacher) - once you select a particular teacher, you can filter by class. Note that additionally, your teachers can filter by individual students using their version of this report.
Unit Filters:
If you click the unit filter, you will see a list of all units in the course. Select any unit of interest. If you select a unit that your teachers are yet to teach, it will not have any data in it, but you can still look at relevant standards, and see recommendations for what to teach to address those standards.
Year Filters:
The year filter lets you choose which academic year you would like to review.
Note that for the current school year, you will have two options:
Current - this only shows data from active classes
With Archived - this also includes data from archived classes, which are not currently underway
Printing the Report
If you want to share the data within your PLCs or you want to compare to benchmarks or other unit testing, you can print to make it easy to compare side-by-side. To print, click PDF for print in the upper right-hand corner of the report.
