As part of the automatic Schoology class sync, we’ve made sure all classes stay aligned with their corresponding courses in Schoology whenever users log in. This helps districts maintain consistency and accuracy across their systems without relying on daily background updates. At the same time, we recognize that full automation can sometimes limit teachers’ flexibility—especially when it comes to customizing how they organize and manage their classes.

Custom Names

You can now update your class names without losing those changes during the daily sync process. The original Schoology class name will still be stored and shown for reference. To adjust your class name:

  1. Open your Class Settings.

  2. Edit the Class Name field.

  3. Click Save.

Choose which classes to update each time you log in

If your district enables the login syncs, you can decide which of your Schoology classes will automatically sync each time you log in. To set it up:

  1. Open your Class Settings.

  2. Go to the Schoology tab.

  3. Check the box labeled “Sync roster on login (Schoology).”

  4. Save

When this option is selected, your class roster will automatically sync with Schoology every time you log in. If you prefer, you can leave the box unchecked to stop auto-syncing—this gives you the flexibility to manage and edit your class roster directly in Exploros.
