Middle and High School Social Studies Courses

World Cultures. (MS) A complete middle school curriculum, containing 12 units with approximately ten 5E model lessons per unit. Learning broadly about geography and maps and then investigate cultures around the globe. In each geographic unit, students explore topics including geography, economy, government, history and influence, and culture.

Texas History. (MS) A complete middle school curriculum, containing 10 units with approximately ten 5E model lessons per unit. Learning broadly about Texas History spanning from the life of early people of Texas to contemporary Texas.

U.S. History. (MS) A complete middle school curriculum, containing 8 units with approximately fifteen 5E model lessons per unit. Learning broadly about United States History from early European explorations through 1877.

Civics. (MS) A complete middle school curriculum, containing eight units with approximately ten 5E model learning experiences per unit. 

U.S. History. (HS) U.S. History HS is a high school curriculum, containing 4 units with approximately 10 5E model lessons per unit. Learning broadly about United States History from 1878 through contemporary America.

English Language Arts and Reading Courses

ELAR. (EL, MS) See course for each grade, 4-8. Each course containing 7 units with approximately 50 5E model lessons. Students study English Language Arts and Reading with emphasis on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
